Kaaren Styles is a Multi-Media ARTist based out of Miami with roots in Pittsburgh and Detroit. Coming from a diverse background of influences, Styles expresses versatility in her ARTwork. Expression of the soul is the connecting factor between her creations. She is on a mission to share both ugly truth and messages of love. Committed to keeping both creative and financial control over her career she hopes to be a positive role model for Women and ARTists around the world.
Under the name Kaaren Alise, her first international release in 2003 was a an appearance with Jamaican artist Jah Mason called “Who Dem A Ramp Wit”, a dancehall inspired roots track. Her most recent album release is the hiphop/rock collaboration album with Web Three "Loss, Love & The New Normal" which followed the release of her solo Steel EP. StylesNasty is the Emcee/DJ duo stemming from her close relationship with Rich Flo Entertainment Founder DJ Nasty Nate. But her name “Styles” rings truest when she decides to freestyle. She has the unique ability to adapt to the crowd, the music, the energy of her audience or her collaborator, putting music over money.
A natural talent in hair styling and years of training has allowed Ms. Styles to work for herself and invest in her own vision as a multi-media ARTist. She feels blessed to have been given the opportunity to travel the world and work closely with celebrities. In 2011 she was awarded for her success as an International Hair Braider by Positive Teen Magazine and Bijoux Hair. She also founded Make N Style along with makeup ARTist and mentor Rory Lee. MNS is a positive and supportive network for freelance entertainment and beauty ARTists in South Florida.
Many remember a time when MTV was all about music and culture of those who did not identify with mainstream media. Kaaren has joined DJ Radamas and the UNTV team to help create an online entertainment network that gets back to content from the people, not producers. With a degree in FIlm & Video from Penn State University, Kaaren works both in front of and behind the camera.
